Nunu Ntshingila-Njeke serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy South Africa.
Ntshingila-Njeke is one of the highest ranking women in advertising and Chairman of one of South Africa’s largest agency groups.
Ntshingila-Njekeis widely regarded as a leading light in the industry, having worked her way up the ladder from a position as a trainee account manager.
In 2003, Ntshingila-Njeke was named a finalist in the Businesswoman of the Year Award, in 2004 she again attained finalist status in the Shoprite Checkers/SABC Woman of the Year award, as well as being named Financial Mail’s Advertising Leader of the Year. In 2005, she won the coveted prize of Business Personality of the Year at the Top Women in Business and Government Awards.
In early 2011, Ntshingila-Njeke was appointed to the Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Board, where she joins 30 of the world’s top advertising and marketing professionals as the unique representative from Africa.
In her many years in advertising, Ntshingila-Njeke has overseen integrated, effective and award-winning work for South Africa’s biggest and most well-recognised brands, including DSTV, SAB Miller, KFC, Cadbury, BP, Volkswagen and Coca-Cola.
Ntshingila-Njeke was instrumental in the creation of a pan-African joint venture with WPP’s Scangroup.
Ntshingila-Njeke served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy South Africa Proprietary Limited.
Ntshingila-Njeke has been a Director of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Inc since January 2011.
Ntshingila-Njeke has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Transnet since May 2006.
Ntshingila-Njeke served as a Director of Old Mutual Life Assurance Company South Africa from September 2007 to May 2009.
Ntshingila-Njeke served on the Boards of the Media Development & Diversity Agency and the V&A Waterfront.
In 2007, she was awarded the Financial Mail/Ad Focus Agency Leader of the Year award and was also one of the five women to be nominated as Business Woman of the Year.
Ntshingila-Njeke serves as the Chairman of Ogilvy South Africa Proprietary Limited.
Ntshingila-Njeke graduated from the University of Swaziland with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Morgan State University and a Diploma in Advertising from AAA School of Advertising.
